The Villas at the River Sodus Township, MI

Unique subdivision of river view and river front condominiums.
  • The site has municipal sanitary sewer and water, the latter of which required a bore and jack under a roadway for connection. Also included is a man-made pond incorporated into the landscaping.
  • The condominiums are all ranch-home designs and are available in four sizes ranging from 1,325 to 1,856 square feet. Amenities include a clubhouse with fireplace, large-screen television, a kitchen, an exercise room, indoor golf ball driving and putting areas, a heated outdoor pool, woodland walking trails, and a private boat launch on the river.

The Heritage Lincoln Township, MI

This new subdivision is being built in phases.
  • Phase I is 56 lots and Phase II will provide an additional 29 lots.
  • The project includes new watermain, sanitary and storm sewers, and new bituminous roads with concrete curb and gutter.
  • The new subdivision will also have common areas for recreational use with walking trails and a clubhouse with tennis courts, a volleyball area and a play structure.

Ramada Water Park Watervliet, MI

This new 99-room Ramada Inn is connected to a 14,000-square-foot water park.
  • The water park offers multiple recreational and social amenities including a pool and slides, a children's play area, a mezzanine with space for parties and entertaining, a restaurant and a bar.
  • A new strip mall was also designed and constructed near the facilities.
  • Additional work includes extension of a roadway with pavement and concrete curb and gutter as well as storm and sanitary sewer and watermain installation.

Marina Grand Resort New Buffalo, MI

New waterfront facility.
  • This marina, condominium and resort hotel is located on approximately six acres and contains 146 boat slips, and a three-story, condo/hotel with 80 one-story units.
  • Forty of the units are designed to be either hotel rooms or condominiums, as the owner desires. Additional services included condominium drawings, construction staking, and contract and bid administration.

Wyndstone Estates

An ALTA survey for the site and topographical information collected with Global Positioning System. (GPS).
  • A Master Plan was created for the 178 acres residential development. The Master Plan included a unique and visually pleasing roadway layout yielding a site with 313 lots to be constructed in three phases.
  • Due to the very high water table, the storm sewer system was designed to be a perforated system and to accommodate a release rate similar to the existing rate along with detention of the differential in runoff between the existing natural terrain and the proposed subdivision runoff. The runoff will be diverted to two separate detention basins totaling approximately five acres.
  • Additional utility concerns included the looping of a 10-inch water main and the continuation of an eight-inch pipe network.
  • Phase II includes 119 lots on winding, pedestrian-friendly roads. In addition, the site includes wetland restoration.
  • Phase III will complete the project by connecting roadway stubs and temporary cul-de-sacs from the first two phases.

Four Winds North Casino, Hartford MI

Wightman & Associates is providing engineering, surveying, and inspection services for all aspects of this 35-acre project including ALTA/ACSM Land Title survey, topographical surveying, and site layout of the casino site, as well as designing the on-site and off-site utilities. The off-site utility work includes approximately 2.2 miles of water main, 3.4 miles of sanitary forcemain and a new lift station.
